Juntos Aprendemos Outreach Specialist - TEMP

 

40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, Hours vary, 70-80 days


Rate as established by bargaining agreement, Classified Wage Schedule, starting rate $21.00 - $27.12/hour DOE

Definition: The Juntos Aprendemos Outreach Specialist is responsible for supporting the outreach efforts, program needs, and services for Spanish-speaking families with children ages 3-5. The Outreach Specialist will assist the Family Engagement Coordinator in completing intake processes and support the Program Coordinator in preparing and delivering programming to families in Central Oregon. This role requires independent judgment to navigate interactions with a variety of individuals, address unexpected challenges, and coordinate community outreach efforts. The specialist will work closely with families, providing individualized support in both group and one-on-one environments.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Family Engagement Coordinator with scheduling and executing program outreach activities.
  2. Collaborate with the Program Coordinator to prepare and deliver programming to families.
  3. Maintain communication with the team, providing updates on outreach events and family engagement.
  4. Facilitate family referrals for evaluations or services such as EI/ECSE, as needed.
  5. Assist in the management of records related to programming, purchases, assessments, and follow-ups.
  6. Provide information to families about Juntos Aprendemos
  7. Represent Juntos Aprendemos at community presentations, trainings, and professional groups.
  8. Build positive relationships with families and community partners to enhance family engagement and resource accessibility.
  9. Ensure confidentiality of all family and program-related information.
  10. Maintain and submit accurate records and documentation of outreach efforts and family interactions.
  11. Support students and/or parent classrooms as assigned
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
